My point on the pro-con exactly. I hang out with a lot of INTJs online, and we never make pro-con lists in our arguments. What the hell is the point of it?
But if other types are trying to be “logical,” they often use that as a starting point.
Can you possibly imagine that? Go to any political forum. Now imagine every single post starting with an extensive pro-con list.
That’s them trying to be “logical.”
My Wife actually did this when we had to pick out a venue for our reception. This irritated me greatly

@ADBG – LOL, pro/con list. What a waste of time. We think intuitively. We make contingency plans. We have plan A, B, and C and know when to implement which. 2 years ago it occurred to me that we were having too many power outages in my house. I paid a lot of money for a natural gas automatic generator to power the house in case of blackout. Everyone thought I was nuts. Last year we had a 4 day blackout in the winter due to an ice storm. The entire neighborhood was out of power and freezing for 4 days. We had heat and power – our house the only beacon of light for kilometers. My wife and mother-in-law, both of whom thought I was nuts, admitted that they admired how I had planned ahead, but only after the fact. Only once there was a blackout could they see that a generator might come in handy.
